TECTORA BikeProtection E-Gravel Frame Protection Film – STEK PPF Paint Protection for TREK CHECKPOINT+

Asphalt, gravel, mud — your TREK CHECKPOINT+ takes it all. Our custom-fit STEK PPF frame protection film makes sure your frame looks as good as your adventure — ride after ride, kilometre after kilometre.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit was precision digital-designed and tested for:

  • Model: TREK CHECKPOINT+ frame Gen 1 (from 2025)
  • Material: Carbon frame
  • Sizes: Available for M, ML and L

Coverage & Protection Zones (17-piece kit incl. fork)

Targeted protection for the typical weak points of an e-gravel bike — built for mixed-terrain riding, long-distance touring, and bikepacking with motor assist. The kit protects:

  • Impact zones: Down tube & bottom bracket area — gravel and rock chip protection on mixed-terrain routes.
  • Frame structure: Top tube, head tube & seat tube.
  • Rear triangle: Chain stays & seat stays — protection against mud, gravel spray, and shoe contact abrasion.
  • Cable rub protection: Precision-cut pieces covering critical areas exposed to brake and gear cable abrasion.
  • Battery zone: Dedicated coverage around the integrated battery — a unique high-contact zone on every e-gravel bike.

Pro Installation Tips

  • Preparation: Remove the bottle cages and wheels — for clean access to every edge.
  • Positioning: Always work wet. Leave approx. 3 mm gaps between pieces.
  • Bonding: Use a hair dryer on edges — especially around contact and bikepacking attachment zones.
  • Important: Do not wash the bike for at least 7 days after installation — the adhesive needs time to fully cure.

E-Gravel Install Tip: Extra care on bikepacking zones and battery edges

On e-gravel bikes, damage often starts at frame bag attachment points, strap friction zones, and around the integrated battery — take extra time here for alignment and edges for a clean, long-lasting finish.

Technical Specifications

Film Material

We exclusively use STEK PPF — a premium thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) from American manufacturer STEK. Robust, flexible, and engineered for hard mixed-terrain use on e-gravel routes with motor assist.

Film Thickness

208 microns — strong enough for gravel, rough terrain, and the added demands of e-gravel riding, flexible enough for a precise fit on complex frame geometries.

Self-Healing Properties

The elastic top layer regenerates itself with heat. Swirl marks and light scratches disappear with sunlight, warm water, or a hair dryer — effortlessly.

Nano-Ceramic Coating

Factory-applied nano-coating with Lotus Effect: mud and water bead off reliably — keeping your frame clean even after the muddiest e-gravel adventure.

Warranty

10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing and cracking.

Accessories & Frame Protection for your TREK CHECKPOINT+

An e-gravel bike like the TREK CHECKPOINT+ is built for adventure — long-distance touring, rough terrain, bikepacking with the power of motor assist. A precision-fit frame protection film protects your carbon frame and integrated electronics exactly where no other accessory reaches — against gravel spray, abrasion, battery contact wear, and transport scratches.

What makes this kit essential:

  • Gravel chip protection: Absorbs impacts on the down tube — gravel strikes hit significantly more often than on asphalt.
  • Bikepacking protection: Prevents abrasion from frame bags and attachment points — essential for long e-gravel tours.
  • Resale value: An undamaged carbon frame with intact paint and battery zone holds its value — a scratched one does not.

Film Quality & Material – STEK PPF

Our e-gravel frame protection film for the TREK CHECKPOINT+ was developed specifically for this frame — every curve, every edge, every battery contact point fits perfectly. Transparent, self-healing, and tough enough for every e-gravel adventure.

This bike frame PPF is engineered specifically for carbon e-gravel frames with integrated motor and battery systems — not a generic wrap, but a model-specific protection solution built for mixed-terrain riding and long-distance e-gravel touring.

We trust STEK PPF — one of the most reliable paint protection films from the USA — for long-lasting protection that holds up through thousands of e-gravel kilometres.

Go further. Go electric. Stay protected.

Questions & Answers

Is PPF film on the TREK CHECKPOINT+ really necessary? Or does an electric gravel bike frame not need any protection?

The frame needs protection every day — not just in crashes. Gravel chips, mud abrasion and branch strikes attack the paint on every ride, while the battery zone and motor cable transitions are the most expensive areas to repair. STEK PPF covers the entire frame like an invisible skin — without changing the look or affecting the electronics.

Can transport and bikepacking bag abrasion damage the TREK CHECKPOINT+ frame and reduce its resale value?

Yes — transport scratches and constant strap friction on the down tube and rear triangle leave permanent marks. A visibly damaged frame loses significant resale value. STEK PPF protects all contact zones — without being visible.

Will the PPF film on the TREK CHECKPOINT+ be visible or change the look of the frame?

Not at all. The gloss variant is crystal clear and maintains the original shine — barely noticeable to the naked eye. The matte variant preserves the matte finish without any change in texture. Both are precision laser-cut to fit exactly — the bike looks original, but is fully protected.

How to apply your TREK CHECKPOINT+ Frame Protection Kit

Instructions

Clean and dry the bike thoroughly, then remove the bottle cage and wheels for better access. Degrease all installation areas with isopropyl alcohol and work in a clean space at 18–25 °C. Lay out and dry-fit each piece to confirm alignment before peeling the backing. Start with the top tube, continue around the head tube, then install the down tube. Apply section by section, smooth toward the edges, avoid overstretching, and leave about a 3 mm gap between separate pieces. Allow 1.5–4 hours for a complete install.
