Pro Installation Tips

  • Preparation: Remove the bottle cage and wheels for better access.
  • Positioning: Always work wet-on-wet. Leave approx. 3 mm gaps between pieces.
  • Bonding: Use a hair dryer on edges and curves to activate the adhesive.
  • Important: Do not wash the bike for at least 7 days after installation — the adhesive needs time to fully cure.

On contact zones, take extra care — spend time on alignment and edges for a truly clean, professional finish.

Technical Specifications

Film Material

We exclusively use STEK PPF — a premium paint protection film made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) — for maximum durability and reliable protection in demanding e-MTB conditions.

Film Thickness

208 microns — thick enough for rock and trail contact, flexible enough for a clean, precise installation.

Self-Healing Properties

The elastic top layer regenerates itself: light scratches and swirl marks disappear with heat — sunlight, warm water, or a hair dryer is all it takes.

Nano-Ceramic Coating

The film comes factory nano-coated. Mud and water bead off thanks to the Lotus Effect — dramatically cutting down post-trail cleaning time.

Warranty

10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing and cracking.

Accessories & Frame Protection for your KTM SCARP SX

Looking for the right accessories for your KTM SCARP SX? Before you invest in new pedals, grips, or mudguards — think about protecting your investment first. A precision-fit frame protection kit is the foundation of a long bike life. While mudguards only protect against mud, our STEK PPF paint protection film completely seals your expensive carbon frame.

Why this kit is essential:

  • Fills protection gaps: Covers areas where no other accessory can reach.
  • Transport safety: Prevents the typical car rack scratches during transport.
  • Hard e-MTB use: Blocks rock chips and abrasion from shoes and body armor.

Film Quality & Material – STEK PPF

Our e-MTB frame protection film for the KTM SCARP SX is a perfect fit for every frame size — delivering maximum protection on every ride, from flow trails to the hardest descents.

This bike frame PPF is engineered specifically for carbon e-MTB frames — not a generic wrap, but a model-specific solution.

We rely on proven premium STEK PPF (TPU) for outstanding durability and long-lasting performance in the most demanding e-MTB conditions.

If you're looking for the best frame protection for your KTM SCARP SX, this full-frame STEK PPF kit is the ultimate choice. Ride hard. Stay protected.

Questions & Answers

What is better for the KTM SCARP SX – PPF film or classic rubber frame guards?

PPF technology wins hands down. While rubber guards only protect small spots and ruin the look, our STEK film wraps around the entire frame like an invisible skin. It protects not just the down tube, but also the rear triangle and critical cable zones – without lifting at the edges or collecting dirt.

Will the film hold up on the KTM SCARP SX during hard e-MTB impacts and crashes?

Absolutely. Our STEK PPF is 208 microns thick – engineered to absorb impact energy. The KTM SCARP SX is built for aggressive enduro riding, so this thickness is what stands between a pristine carbon frame and costly damage after a hard hit on the trail.

Will the film on the KTM SCARP SX be visible or affect the look of the bike?

Not at all – we offer two variants to match your frame perfectly. The gloss variant is crystal clear and maintains the original shine of your bike – the result is a Factory-Look that is barely noticeable to the naked eye. The matte variant preserves the matte finish of your frame without any change in texture or appearance. Both variants use precision laser-cut pieces that end exactly at the tube transitions – your bike looks original, but is fully protected.

How to apply your KTM SCARP SX Frame Protection Kit

Instructions

Clean and dry the bike thoroughly, then remove the bottle cage and wheels for better access. Degrease all installation areas with isopropyl alcohol and work in a clean space at 18–25 °C. Lay out and dry-fit each piece to confirm alignment before peeling the backing. Start with the top tube, continue around the head tube, then install the down tube. Apply section by section, smooth toward the edges, avoid overstretching, and leave about a 3 mm gap between separate pieces. Allow 1.5–4 hours for a complete install.
