TECTORA BikeProtection MTB Frame Protection Film – STEK PPF Paint Protection for PROPAIN TYEE

Your PROPAIN TYEE deserves real protection. Our custom-fit STEK PPF frame protection film keeps rock chips, scratches, and cable rub away from your frame — so your bike looks just as good after every descent as it did before the ride.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit was precision digital-designed and tested for:

  • Model: PROPAIN TYEE frame Gen 6.1 CF (from 2025), Gen 6.1 AL (from2025) and Gen 5 AL (2020-2022)
  • Material: Carbon & aluminium frame
  • Sizes: Available for L

Coverage & Protection Zones (18-piece kit)

Complete frame protection, tailored to the specific weak points of a trail and enduro MTB. The kit protects:

  • Impact zones: Down tube & bottom bracket area — where rock chips hit most.
  • Frame structure: Top tube, head tube & seat tube.
  • Rear triangle: Chain stays & seat stays — protection against shoe contact and mud abrasion.
  • Cable rub protection: Precision-cut pieces covering critical areas exposed to brake and gear cable abrasion.

Pro Installation Tips

  • Preparation: Remove the bottle cage and wheels — for full access to every area.
  • Positioning: Always work wet. Leave approx. 3 mm gaps between pieces.
  • Bonding: Use a hair dryer on edges and curves to fully activate the adhesive.
  • Important: Do not wash the bike for at least 7 days after installation — the adhesive needs time to fully cure.

MTB Install Tip: Check the edges after your first rides

After the first trails, briefly inspect the edges on high-stress zones — and if needed, go over them once more with a hair dryer.

Technical Specifications

Film Material

We exclusively use STEK PPF — a premium thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) from American manufacturer STEK. Engineered for maximum performance on rough and technical trails.

Film Thickness

208 microns — robust enough for hard rock strikes, flexible enough for a precise fit on complex frame geometries.

Self-Healing Properties

The elastic top layer regenerates itself with heat. Swirl marks and light scratches disappear with sunlight, warm water, or a hair dryer — effortlessly.

Nano-Ceramic Coating

Factory-applied nano-coating with Lotus Effect: mud and water bead off reliably — dramatically reducing post-trail cleaning time.

Warranty

10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing and cracking.

Accessories & Frame Protection for your PROPAIN TYEE

A new bike needs the right base protection — before pedals, grips, or mudguards even come into play. A precision-fit frame protection film secures the value of your PROPAIN TYEE exactly where no other accessory can reach.

What makes this kit essential:

  • Rock chip protection: Absorbs impacts on the down tube before they reach the paint.
  • Transport safety: No more scratches from car racks or bike boxes.
  • Trail abrasion: Protects chain stays and contact zones from shoe and mud abrasion.

Film Quality & Material – STEK PPF

Our MTB frame protection film for the PROPAIN TYEE was developed specifically for this frame — every curve, every edge fits perfectly. From relaxed flow trails to demanding technical enduro descents.

This bike frame PPF is engineered specifically for trail and enduro MTB frames — not a generic wrap, but a model-specific protection solution.

We trust STEK PPF — one of the most reliable paint protection films from the USA — for long-lasting protection that holds up even after hundreds of hard trails.

The best frame protection for your PROPAIN TYEE is one you never see — but always feel. Ride hard. Stay protected.

Questions & Answers

What is better for the PROPAIN TYEE frame – PPF film or classic rubber frame guards?

It depends on the area – rubber belongs under the chain, that is standard. For the rest of the frame, PPF film clearly wins. While rubber guards ruin the look and only protect small spots, our STEK film wraps around the entire frame like an invisible skin. It protects the down tube, rear triangle and cable zones – without lifting at the edges or collecting dirt.

Does the PROPAIN TYEE frame need protection if I transport it to trails in a bike bag or van?

Absolutely – transport is one of the most common causes of frame damage on trail bikes. Straps, contact with other bikes and the walls of a van or bike box leave marks that no amount of cleaning will remove. On a carbon frame, impacts go straight to the paint. On aluminum, scratches cut through to bare metal and over time lead to corrosion. Our STEK PPF protects both materials from the very first transport.

How do I apply PPF film to the PROPAIN TYEE frame – is it difficult?

Not at all – the kit uses the wet application method. Spray the frame and film with Slip-Solution, position the piece and squeeze out the liquid with the included squeegee. For edges and curves, use a hair dryer on low heat to activate the adhesive. After application, leave the bike for at least 7 days before washing – the adhesive needs time to fully cure. The film is safe for both carbon and aluminum surfaces.

How to apply your PROPAIN TYEE Frame Protection Kit

Instructions

Clean and dry the bike thoroughly, then remove the bottle cage and wheels for better access. Degrease all installation areas with isopropyl alcohol and work in a clean space at 18–25 °C. Lay out and dry-fit each piece to confirm alignment before peeling the backing. Start with the top tube, continue around the head tube, then install the down tube. Apply section by section, smooth toward the edges, avoid overstretching, and leave about a 3 mm gap between separate pieces. Allow 1.5–4 hours for a complete install.
