TECTORA BikeProtection DH Frame Protection Film – STEK PPF Paint Protection for PIVOT PHOENIX

No compromises on protection. Our custom-fit STEK PPF frame protection film was built for the hardest hits — so your PIVOT PHOENIX looks as good after the most brutal downhill run as it did on day one.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit was precision digital-designed and tested for:

  • Model: PIVOT PHOENIX frame (from 2025)
  • Material: Carbon frame
  • Sizes: Available for S2

Coverage & Protection Zones

Maximum protection for the critical zones of a DH race bike — exactly where rock strikes, roots, and hard landings cause the most damage. The kit protects:

  • Impact zones: Down tube & bottom bracket area — protection against massive rock strikes on DH tracks.
  • Frame structure: Top tube, head tube & seat tube.
  • Rear triangle: Chain stays & seat stays — protection against shoe contact and chain slap abrasion.
  • Cable rub protection: Precision-cut pieces covering critical areas exposed to brake and gear cable abrasion.

Pro Installation Tips

  • Preparation: Remove the bottle cage and wheels — for full access to every area.
  • Positioning: Always work wet. Leave approx. 3 mm gaps between pieces.
  • Bonding: Use a hair dryer on edges and curves to fully activate the adhesive.
  • Important: Do not wash the bike for at least 7 days after installation — the adhesive needs time to fully cure.

DH Install Tip: Double down on the highest-stress zones

In downhill riding, maximum adhesion is everything — take extra time on the down tube and rear triangle, the areas that take the hardest punishment on every DH run.

What's Included – Full-Frame Set

  4. Microfiber cloth: For pre-installation cleaning and final finish.
  5. Step-by-step instructions: Clear and easy to follow — perfect for first-time installers.

Technical Specifications

Film Material

We exclusively use STEK PPF — a premium thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) from American manufacturer STEK. Built for extreme conditions — hard landings, massive rock strikes, and the roughest DH terrain.

Film Thickness

208 microns — strong enough for the most brutal downhill run, flexible enough for a precise fit on complex DH frame geometries.

Self-Healing Properties

The elastic top layer regenerates itself with heat. Swirl marks and light scratches disappear with sunlight, warm water, or a hair dryer — effortlessly.

Nano-Ceramic Coating

Factory-applied nano-coating with Lotus Effect: mud and water bead off reliably — keeping your frame cleaner even after the muddiest DH run.

Warranty

10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing and cracking.

Accessories & Frame Protection for your PIVOT PHOENIX

A DH bike like the PIVOT PHOENIX takes more punishment than any other bike — rock strikes, root fields, and hard landings all leave their mark. A precision-fit frame protection film is not optional accessories — it is the foundation of a long bike life.

What makes this kit essential:

  • Maximum rock chip protection: Absorbs massive impacts on the down tube before they reach the carbon paint.
  • Transport safety: No more scratches from uplift shuttles, bike boxes, or car racks.
  • DH abrasion: Protects chain stays and contact zones from chain slap and mud abrasion.

Film Quality & Material – STEK PPF

Our DH frame protection film for the PIVOT PHOENIX was developed specifically for this frame — every curve, every edge fits perfectly. Built for the hardest possible use — invisible in everyday life.

This bike frame PPF is engineered specifically for DH and gravity MTB frames — not a generic wrap, but a model-specific protection solution built for extreme riding.

We trust STEK PPF — one of the most reliable paint protection films from the USA — for long-lasting protection that holds up even after hundreds of DH runs.

Go faster. Ride harder. Stay protected.

Questions & Answers

What is better for the PIVOT PHOENIX frame – PPF film or classic rubber frame guards?

It depends on the area – rubber belongs under the chain, that is standard. For the rest of the frame, PPF film clearly wins. While rubber guards ruin the look and only protect small spots, our STEK film wraps around the entire frame like an invisible skin. It protects the down tube, rear triangle and cable zones – without lifting at the edges or collecting dirt.

Will PPF film really protect the PIVOT PHOENIX carbon frame from the extreme impacts and rocks typical of downhill riding?

Yes – STEK PPF with 208 micron thickness is designed for exactly these conditions. On a DH bike, rocks fly from both wheels at high speed, branches tear at the frame and the bike regularly makes contact with the trail. The film absorbs these impacts before they reach the carbon paint – so your PIVOT PHOENIX still looks clean after the hardest runs.

Is applying PPF film to the PIVOT PHOENIX difficult?

Not at all. The wet application technique lets you slide the film into position until it sits perfectly. Once everything is aligned, squeeze out the bubbles and water from under the film – and only at the very end heat the edges with a hair dryer for a clean, lasting bond.

How to apply your PIVOT PHOENIX Frame Protection Kit

Instructions

Clean and dry the bike thoroughly, then remove the bottle cage and wheels for better access. Degrease all installation areas with isopropyl alcohol and work in a clean space at 18–25 °C. Lay out and dry-fit each piece to confirm alignment before peeling the backing. Start with the top tube, continue around the head tube, then install the down tube. Apply section by section, smooth toward the edges, avoid overstretching, and leave about a 3 mm gap between separate pieces. Allow 1.5–4 hours for a complete install.
