Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC (2025/2026) — PPF Frame Protection Guide
The Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC is one of the best-selling e-MTBs in Germany — and for good reason. A carbon front triangle paired with an aluminium rear frame, the Bosch Performance Line CX motor delivering 85 N·m of torque, and an 800 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery make it a combination that no competitor can match at this price point. It's the bike riders buy when they want maximum performance without overpaying. That's why at Tectora Bike Protection we developed a PPF kit laser-cut specifically for this frame.

Why does the Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC need frame protection?
The carbon front triangle of the ONE44 HPC is fully painted and fully exposed — the down tube takes rock strikes and gravel spray from the front wheel on every single ride. The aluminium rear frame is more resistant to impacts, but the chainstays and seat tube suffer from chain slap, mud abrasion, and cable rub. At a starting price of €4,499, this is a bike riders invest in for years of riding — scratches and chips on carbon needlessly reduce resale value and aesthetics. The Tectora Bike Protection kit at €105 is the most cost-effective way to protect that investment.
Transport and storage are another source of damage. The clean cable routing and compact geometry of the ONE44 HPC mean that loading it into a car or navigating a lift, the bike catches every edge. Without protection, it shows on the paint immediately.
What does STEK PPF protect on the Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC?
Our STEK PPF kit by Tectora Bike Protection for the ONE44 HPC is laser-cut specifically for this frame — not a universal sheet to trim yourself. The kit contains 20 pre-cut pieces and covers the complete painted surface of the frame, including both the carbon front triangle and the aluminium rear frame.
Important: the Bosch PowerTube plastic battery cover is not part of the kit — it is a factory component that protects the battery on its own. The kit also does not cover the welds on the rear triangle — these areas are intentionally left clear to make installation straightforward and precise, even for a first-time installer.
What the kit covers:
— Down tube (full front face + underside) — primary rock strike zone from stones and gravel
— Chainstays — chain slap, mud abrasion, foot contact at low speed
— Top tube — handlebar contact during transport, most common scratch location
— Seat tube — cable rub and leg contact on technical climbs
— Cable exit ports — wear that begins from the very first ride
— Rear triangle — coverage of aluminium stays including pivot surrounds
The film is 208 microns thick with a self-healing top coat — light scratches disappear with gentle heat from a hair dryer. Available in matte and gloss to match your frame's finish.
PPF film vs rubber frame protectors — which is better for the ONE44 HPC?
Rubber guards cover the chainstays and maybe the top tube. STEK PPF covers the entire frame. On the ONE44 HPC, the carbon front triangle is too valuable to leave unprotected — rubber patches don't fit cleanly, don't stay on, and look wrong on a carbon surface. PPF is invisible at riding distance, doesn't trap grit underneath, and won't peel at the edges after a wet season. The self-healing layer takes care of minor scuffs on its own. For a bike at this price level, it's the only sensible choice.
How to apply STEK PPF on the Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC?
The kit uses a wet application method — no specialist tools, no professional installer required. Clean the frame with isopropyl alcohol, wet both the frame surface and the film backing, slide each pre-labelled piece into position, squeegee out the water and leave to cure. Apply the hair dryer only at the very end to seal the edges. Total installation time: 2–3 hours — the kit contains 20 pieces, so set aside enough time and don't rush. Each piece is pre-cut and labelled specifically for the ONE44 HPC. A full step-by-step video guide is available here:

Frequently asked questions
Is PPF frame protection worth it for the Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC?
Yes. The carbon front triangle of the ONE44 HPC has no factory protection against rock strikes and chips. At a starting price of €4,499, a deep chip into the carbon is an unnecessary loss in bike value. The STEK PPF kit from Tectora Bike Protection costs €105 and carries a 10-year guarantee against yellowing, cracking, and bubbling.
Does the kit cover the Bosch PowerTube battery cover on the Cube ONE44 HPC?
No — the plastic battery cover is a factory component that protects the battery on its own and is not covered by the film. The kit also leaves the welds on the rear triangle clear, which makes installation significantly easier. All painted surfaces of the carbon front triangle and aluminium rear frame are covered.
Will the PPF film be visible on the Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC?
At riding distance, the film is invisible. The matte variant matches a matte frame finish exactly, and the gloss variant suits gloss colour schemes. The look of the bike is completely preserved.
The Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC is built for years of hard riding. One kit, applied once before the first ride, and the paint looks new even after hundreds of trail kilometres.
